The Warkworth Museum, in conjunction with the 48th Kowhai Festival, is holding it's Annual Open day on the Sunday 22nd of October.
Admission to the museum will be free and we will have most of our serviceable engines running,
The Alan continuous lamp oil engine, Twigg and Super Masport engines (this one drives our shearing plant) numerous Anderson engines driving various items, our Petter diesel driving a 240v generator along with other smaller engines.

We are also expecting some of the nearby members of the Veteran Engine Restorers Auckland club (VERA) to be on hand with some of there machinery.
There will be activities for the children, a nail driving competition and the rope making is always popular.
The Textiles and Archives departments will be staffed so you will be able to see some of the huge collection of textiles we hold and the archives department will be able to help you with any queries you may have on local history of the Warkworth district.
